We are a No-Kill Shelter, which means that all the animals that come into our facility are taking care of until we find them a forever home. We Truly Believe THEY DESERVE TO LIVE, it is not a privilege, IT IS THEIR RIGHT. THANK YOU!
We would like to thank Horse Rescue & Sanctuaryfor stepping in and helping us with two special needs horses, if you would like to learn more about this wonderful Sanctuary, please click here.
What's up?! My name is Lil Rascal. I was found running at large in Hinsdale, NY. When people say running at large, they usually mean a dog that is loose and unidentified. But let me guarantee you, I was "running" at large. I love to run. The volunteers take me for "Power Runs," which are hour long walks that involve some heavy duty running. They are exhausted at the end of a power run, but I think the fun is just beginning. Being a Pit Bull, I'm sure you know three things about me right off the bat: 1) I'm a ham, 2) I'm a people pleaser, and 3) I'm athletic. Do these characteristics sound anything like you? If so, we have a strong chance of being soulmates. I love to make new friends, go running, and just goof around. The employees scoop me up in their arms, hug and kiss me, and say, "Oh Rascal!" I would take you home if I could. So if you are reading this and can take me home, why not? I'm better than the dog of your dreams! P.S. I love to go out to lunch with the employees!
Dog of the Week - Lil Rascal
Cat of the Week - Martin
Martin, one of our wonderful SPCA senior cats, needs a foster home. He has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Martin needs insulin injections daily and his blood glucose level also needs to be checked regularly. He is a friendly and calm cat who is at least 15 years old. We are hoping to find Martin a quiet home where someone is able to monitor his care and give him love. After all, Martin deserves to have a home in his senior years. If you know someone who may be interested in fostering this sweet guy, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org

Dad's concern for pets goes beyond the development of healthy foods. We have created "Have a Heart" program to help provide homeless animals with food, shelter, and loving care. You can be a part of the program too. Just save proof-of-purchase UPC codes from ANY Dad's pet food and send it to the Spca In Cattaraugus County. We will redeem them for money from Dad's which can be used to care for animals in need.
